On Monday, March 22, the Pacific-Asian Legal Studies (PALS) program will present “Perspectives on Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Regulation,” via Zoom, as part of the Asia Law Talk series. Jiaying Christine Jiang, Hauser Global Fellow, New York University School of Law; Professor Syren Johnstone, University of Hong Kong; and Professor William Magnusen, Texas A&M Law School will explore the workings of blockchain technology and its implications for the law. They will also discuss how the technology originated and has been applied to cryptocurrency and other industries, as well as how governments around the globe and Asia in particular have grappled with regulating blockchain technology.
